Continuous Updates on COVID-19

Update to Nevada Home Deliveries May 19th, 2020

We have made significant changes over the course of the last few months to increase our operational capacity, and to implement CDC and WHO guidelines to limit the potential spread of Coronavirus in an effort to protect our team and our community. As many states and communities begin to relax certain restrictions, we are committed to continuing many of these changes as best-practices to lessen viral spread.

Increased Menu Hours, Same-Day Delivery, and Delivery Windows

With our increase in operational capacity, we are now able to offer increased menu hours, delivery windows, and same-day delivery from select retailers to give you more options of when you will receive your delivery. At this time, we are completing same-day deliveries for Silver State Relief in northern Nevada and Essence Tropicana in southern Nevada. Please refer to the individual menus for the availability of same-day delivery as it will depend on when you place your order. To place an order for same-day, simply choose the same-day window at check-out (if applicable).

Increased health precautions and available PPE

We will continue to supply our drivers with the necessary and available disinfectants and PPE to safely perform deliveries. This includes face coverings, gloves, disinfectants, and hand sanitizers among other things. Our teams change their gloves and disinfect their cars and hands regularly, and are required to wear face coverings at all times when interacting with patients, customers, and colleagues. We ask that you please wear a face covering when receiving your order for the safety of our team and our community.

Required Government ID and Signature on State Documentation

Though many of our operations have changed, one thing has stayed the same: our diligent work to maintain a compliant cannabis business. We are required to check your Government ID upon arrival before we are able to complete your delivery. Please have your Government ID ready when a driver is on their way. Another required step is that we must receive a signature from the person who placed the order at the time the delivery is completed.

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to provide updates through this channel if and when we need to make additional operational changes. Thank you for your continued patience and support while we all navigate the changing landscape of our daily lives.

Update to Nevada Home Deliveries April 23rd, 2020

Over the last few weeks, we have taken several steps to streamline our delivery process to allow us to complete more deliveries than ever before in the same amount of time. As we continue to streamline this process, we are now able to offer a next-day delivery window for your convenience. You may now choose to receive your order between the hours of 9-5 or in the evening from 5-8 by simply choosing an available delivery window for the following day when placing your order. As many people in our communities continue to work or care for others, we recognize the need to have more flexibility and transparency around when you receive your delivery. We are continuing to work with our teams and our partners across the state of Nevada to streamline our delivery process and provide access to cannabis to thousands of people across the Silver State. Please note; all deliveries being completed by Blackbird are next-day deliveries at this time. Thank you for your patience and your support.

Per Nevada state cannabis regulations, our drivers are required to verify you government issued identification at the time of delivery. We are also required to get a signature on a state track and trace manifest to complete a compliant transaction. We understand that these processes seem arduous and we appreciate your patience, now more than ever.

Update to Nevada Home Deliveries April 6th, 2020: Following CDC Guidelines for Face Coverings

Following the recent recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) we are now requiring all of our drivers to wear face coverings to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 in our communities. In order to keep our drivers and all of our customers as safe as possible, we are also asking anyone receiving a Blackbird delivery to wear a face covering while receiving their order.

All Blackbird Deliveries are still on a next-day delivery schedule. We are delivering daily from 9am-9pm.

Studies referenced by the CDC have shown that cloth face coverings made out of materials around your home could have the potential to limit the spread of COVID-19. Please help us ensure the safety of our teams and limit the potential spread of COVID-19 by wearing a face covering when you receive your delivery. We will not be able to deliver to your door if appropriate safety precautions are not respected. We appreciate your cooperation as we try to keep our team and our communities as safe as possible during this global crisis.

Update to Nevada Home Deliveries March 28, 2020

We will no longer be regularly updating when our menus are closing as we have over the last week. When placing an order for delivery, please double-check whether or not the menu of your choice displays "open" under the delivery option. While we will continue to be on a next-day delivery model, we have been able to streamline our operations over the last week to allow us to complete more deliveries than before. Additionally, some of our retail partners who we provide menus for are fulfilling their own deliveries and therefore manage their own delivery hours. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to navigate this unprecedented situation.

We will continue to provide you with any major operational updates through this post.

Update 3:30pm March 24, 2020

In this difficult time, all of us need a little help from our friends and neighbors. Starting tomorrow, we're asking that you leave the hour between 10am-11am open to medical patients to purchase medication on our Nevada menus. Due to our increased level of orders and our current operational capacity, we have only been able to keep our menus open for a limited time each day for the last week. In an effort to prioritize those who depend on cannabis to relieve chronic symptoms, we are asking that you wait to place your order after 11am to give preferential treatment to medical cannabis users. Thank you all for your patience as we continue to adjust our processes and systems daily to maintain access to cannabis for thousands of people across the nation, and particularly in our home state of Nevada.

Update to Nevada Home Deliveries 12:00pm March 22, 2020

we are currently at our operational capacity for all of Nevada and have closed our menus for the day. We will open our menus tomorrow at 10am for orders to be delivered the following day. Thank you for your patience as we navigate this difficult and unprecedented time.

At 10:00am this morning, BlackbirdGo.com experienced an intense spike in traffic (over 1000%); as we scaled our servers to be able to handle the increased volume, some users may have experience issues accessing our website. This has now been remedied, and should not happen in the future. We are shifting parts of our operation and service hourly to continue to do everything in our power to provide access to cannabis across the country but particularly in the state of Nevada as cannabis retailers have been required to shift to delivery-only. Thank you so much for your understanding and your patience as we work out the kinks in this rapidly changing environment.

COVID-19 Statement March 13, 2020

To our valued customers,

One of Blackbird’s core values is that our people are everything. The health and wellbeing of our staff, our clients, and our communities are of the utmost importance to us. We want to ensure everyone that we are closely monitoring the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Nevada, California, and nationwide. We are following all recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as all state, county, and city governments in Nevada and California

To mitigate the potential spread of the coronavirus we are dedicating our efforts to ensure our locations and vehicles are disinfected daily. We ask for you to take our drivers’ health and safety into consideration when ordering your cannabis to be delivered and to take the necessary steps to protect yourselves and those around you. We are considering all local, state, and national health agency recommendations to support employees staying home when they are sick. We are also taking assertive action to send our staff home should they develop symptoms while working. Blackbird has always offered paid time-off to all of our employees, minimizing the financial burden associated with missing work due to being sick.

While we expect to be short-staffed as this situation develops and employees need to take time off either for themselves or to take care of their loved ones; at this point in time, we are not changing our operations. We ask for you to be patient with us in the coming weeks as deliveries and general operations may be slower than usual.

You can rest assured that we will maintain constant communication with our staff and all of our clients should anything change.

Be well and stay healthy.

The Blackbird Team
